Moving Around

The Islands of Malta as located in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea. Although there is no road network from other countries, Malta is accessible by air or by sea.

AirMalta is the National Airline, however a number of other airlines, including low cost airlines, offer a wide number of international flights. The Malta International Airport is found at Luqa. (Nearby Hotels).

There is no National See line, however there are a large number of commercial ferries, commercial liners and cruise liners who operate from and to Malta. The Grand Harbour is found in Malta’s Capital City Valletta.

Local transport is managed by Transport Malta, the national transport authority.

The most common public transport on Malta and Gozo is the bus system, however taxis, site seeing and horses are also available.

Services that connect the main three islands, including Comino, include Ferries and Sea Plane.
